Tea consumption associated with reduction of skin cancer
A case control study of 707 patients with basaloma cell carcinoma (BCC) and 696 patients with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) are compared with a control group consisting of 715 age- and gender matched people.
The study determine that a regularly tea consumption is correlated with a significant reduced risk of the developing of SCC but not in the developing of BCC.
The reduction of the incidence of SCC is dose related. The most significant effect is seen when the tea consumption is two or more cups a day.
